Helping Homeless Veterans Transition to Housing

No veteran should ever go homeless, but when it occurs, we are there to help them with a fresh start. From new linens to dishes, the lodging kit provides those transitioning from homelessness to housing with almost everything they need to establish a home.

SAM Center partners with the VA HUD/VASH program to provide a basic household setup for veterans and military families facing housing struggles or transitioning from homeless shelters. Although they now have a roof over their heads, they still are in need of basic household items to make their house a home. These kits include but are not limited to dishes, silverware, linens, pots/pans, and toasters.

A lodging kit allows the transitioning veteran to cook, clean, bathe, and wash. It is a way to ensure the veteran has the ability to live on their own.
