At the SAM Center, volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Every box packed, every hand extended, and every act of service helps us honor those who served our country.
We are a volunteer-led organization made up of veteran supporters who believe in offering solutions, not handouts — creating pathways for stability, healing, and dignity.

Pantry Volunteer Opportunities

Our pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., and it takes a team of dedicated volunteers to serve hundreds of veterans and their families each month.

Holiday Volunteer & Donation Drives

Thanksgiving Program – “A Holiday Meal from Our Family to Yours”

Each November, volunteers and donors unite to make sure no veteran’s table is empty during the holidays. With your help, we provide complete Thanksgiving meal packages that allow our local heroes to cook and enjoy the holiday at home.

Last year alone, we distributed 501 full meal kits, feeding nearly 1,200 veterans and family members. Your time, your hands, or your donations can help ensure every veteran has the chance to gather and give thanks.

Christmas Program – “Making Spirits Bright for Military Families”

Our Christmas program brings joy and dignity to veterans who want to give their children a special holiday. Through generous community donations, our “holiday shop” is stocked with new toys and gifts — and veterans are invited to select items at no cost.

Your contribution helps make Christmas magical for children who might otherwise go without.

From donating toys to helping set-up and staff the shop, your involvement truly matters.
